Originally by: Zxmagus The real misconception is that bob was any good in the first place.
Bob had advantages other people didn't, access to cheap tech2 goods IE not paying 26 million each for 425mm rail guns and titans. Bob used these advantages really well no doubt but they used them like bullies and kinda fooled them selves into thinking that they where the best. Then they lost titans, space and now their very name to the worst in eve (goonswarm).
Don't flatter yourself mate. The misconception is that goons think they are the new spoken about alliance in EVE when in reality when ever people speak of goons, BoB still gets the lime light. And if goon's didn't speak of themselves so much little or nothing of note would be said of you.
It's a harsh reality that a group of players who want a little bit of their internet 15 minutes of fame are being out shone in the lime light (not of our own doing most of the time) by a group of players who love to play this game to win.
Go goons...... keep making BoB the number one spoken about alliance in EvE :D
I think you're judging goons by your own standards. I don't believe they give a damn about what people think of them or whether people talk about them which makes them a lot more fun (even if they suck at being an alliance).
But if it makes you feel better, yes Thol was right but it's ok...people are still talking about you which is all that matters right?
It's been said before, the playing field moved dramatically in the level direction when invention came along and everyone was suddenly in T2 fitted ships (except Exe, they caught up at the end of 2008) which is around the time BoB suddenly weren't so great anymore.

Originally by: Dr Smythe But I do think we do not have to go back too far to see how good we can be (Delve I)and we will hopefully see that test coming again (Delve II??)
Weren't you the aggressors at the start of that campaign though?
Even your current attack has ended up with you all back in Delve defending yourselves again
Doesn't sound like the masters of combat to me.

Of course we were the aggressors we are a pvp alliance. Isn't the object of pvp to get a fight, we got one and took most of the top 10 alliances at the time in our door step and kicked some ass.
Not bad for a 'BoB were so 2006' alliance ;)
Well, first time you wanted to eradicate goons (again) so invaded and ended up defending Delve. This time you wanted to eradicate goons (again) so invaded and ended up defending Delve.
You're not as aggressive, but more defensive than you used to be, shall we just leave it at that?

Originally by: Fo RumChar Seem to be getting near a alliance split. People pointing fingures at one another, but then again they may just be this way all the time and not care. Interesting times ahead, i for one look foward to seeing the outcome.
The alliance will not split, what are they going to do if they did? Join Atlas?
No matter what happens, they will remain in the game aggressively defending their NPC stations from all attackers.
I do like the way Thol addresses a serious problem they've encountered and the rest don't see it and dismiss him as an emoraging idiot - though I suppose an alliance comedy foil can do wonders for morale.

Originally by: Avon Still, the old wedge driving tactic is pretty cute, so please don't let me get in the way of your fun.
Not really, mostly people are telling you what you already know...infact, you've said it yourself:
Originally by: Avon Unfortunately the utter incompetence is far more obvious in our general activities recently, and you should channel your energy there mate.
This is done and over, but there are other issues which need to be addressed which have been allowed to slide for far to long. It just annoys me that this titan thing gets so much attention. It is just a symptom of our situation. If we can moan about things like this until we are blue in the face, but unless we tackle the more deep rooted causes of things like this we are doomed to repeat them, no matter how much we shout and scream.

I don't think people are trying to drive a wedge, they're trying to help your alliance regain some of its former glory - which I think everyone wants. It's no fun watching the "most powerful alliance" going through a protracted and agonising death as it steadfastly refuses to shape up to the situations it finds itself in.
Though kicking Martinez for following that crazy plan and losing a Titan for nothing was definately a good idea.
